Power, Whole or Garden Plate. Every plate is built around protein, fibre and plenty of plants; the difference is the balance.
Lunch + dinner, or breakfast, lunch + dinner, 5 days a week. On Power and Whole Plate, choose a small, regular or large portion.
We cook with fresh market produce, farm-direct meat and fresh fish, then deliver to your door. You just eat.
Every plate is built around protein, fibre and plenty of plants. Everyone on the same plate eats the same menu that week, so you're in it together.
Protein-forward meals for strong, active bodies, with veg and wholegrains still on the plate.
The all-rounder: protein, complex carbs, good fats and a rainbow of plants in every meal. Everyday eating, done properly.
Vegetarian and plant-packed, with fibre built in. One size, with protein top-ups if you want them.
Small, regular or large (Power and Whole Plate). Same meals as your crew, with the portion size matched to your appetite and how much protein you need. See yours when you pick a plan โ
We focus on what's on your plate, not on obsessing over every calorie. Every week is planned around four things:
In every meal, sized to your appetite. No protein maths required.
Wholegrains, legumes and starchy veg: the carbs that come packed with the fibre most of us miss.
We count them. Veg, fruit, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices all count.
Cooked from scratch with market-fresh produce, farm-direct meat, fresh fish and good fats like olive oil, nuts and seeds.
Australian adults aren't eating enough fibre, meaning most of us aren't feeding our gut what it needs. We need 25g (women) to 30g (men) a day. Our full-day Whole Plate gives you 25โ35g.
Australian adults eat enough vegetables. That's why we pack 20+ different plants into every week.

Our Small portions are lighter, but still packed with protein, fibre and plants. You get what you need from less food, and you'll actually finish it.

Vegetables cost us less than quality meat and fish, so we pass that on. Garden Plate plans are $2 less for every lunch and dinner: about $20 a week less. No veggie tax. Just fair pricing.
Here's what one week of healthy lunches and dinners really costs, side by side.

Cooking it yourself really costs about $325 a week.
With us it's $149, and you get your 8 hours back.
Estimates for one person. Groceries assume free-range and grass-fed meat, fish and 20+ different plants bought at supermarket prices, including what's typically wasted when buying full packs for one. Time covers planning, shopping, cooking and cleaning up: Australians who cook spend about an hour a day preparing food (ABS, 2020โ21), and throw out nearly $1,000 of food per person a year (End Food Waste Australia). Your own costs and time will vary.
Good health starts with good ingredients. So we skip the supermarket and go straight to the source.
We buy our produce fresh from Melbourne's wholesale market, where the city's greengrocers and restaurants shop.
Free-range and grass-fed meat bought direct from farms in Victoria, plus fresh fish from the market.
Heena, founderHi, I'm Heena. Confession: I was doing protein maths at every single meal. "Is this 30 grams? Do I need more chicken?" And fibre? I'd remember how important it was roughly once a fortnight. ๐
I wanted a hassle-free way to eat well every day: enough protein, enough fibre, plenty of plants, without overthinking it or standing in front of the fridge every night wondering what to cook. Every meal prep I found was built for bodybuilders or diets. So I'm building the one I wanted.

"Macro Mates" is just a working name (and honestly, it's a bit too gym-bro for us now). We'd rather the people who'll actually eat this food help choose what it's called. Pun, pun-free, totally unhinged: we want to hear it.

We're launching in inner Melbourne first. Pop your postcode in the waitlist form; it helps us decide where to start and where to expand next. We'll confirm whether we deliver to you before you're asked to pay for anything beyond the optional $2 deposit.
We're aiming to include delivery in the weekly price across our launch area, with no surprise fees at checkout. We'll confirm delivery costs for your postcode before you pay for anything.
Yes, fully. If you change your mind, just reply to any email from us and we'll refund it. If for any reason we don't launch, we'll refund every deposit automatically, no need to ask. If you stay, it's credited to your first box.
We don't have a date to share yet. Everyone on the waitlist hears first, and founding members get first access to spots when we open.
No. It's everyday food built around protein, fibre and plenty of plants, for people who want to eat well without thinking about it. If you're training hard, the Power Plate gives you extra protein. If you have a medical condition or specific dietary needs, check with your doctor or dietitian first.
On the Whole Plate, lunch + dinner gives you about 18โ28g of fibre a day, depending on your portion size. Breakfast, lunch + dinner gives you about 25โ35g, so every size reaches at least the recommended 25g a day (the target for women), and Regular and Large reach 30g+ (the target for men). Most Australians get about 20g. These are our design targets; our dietitian will confirm the final numbers for every recipe before we launch.
The menu is built by our founder, who got fed up with meal prep made for bodybuilders and diets rather than everyday eating. Before we launch, an Accredited Practising Dietitian will check every recipe against its protein, fibre and plant targets and calculate the nutrition for each dish, so the numbers you see are the numbers you get.
We're starting with three plates: Power Plate, Whole Plate and Garden Plate (vegetarian; one size, with optional protein add-ons like egg pots, Greek yoghurt pots and paneer bites). Because everyone on a plate shares the same weekly menu, we can't customise individual meals at launch. If you have allergies or other needs, reply to our waitlist email and tell us; we'll be upfront about what we can and can't do.
Yes. At launch you'll be able to add sweet potato brownies, ginger shots and protein top-ups to any plan, week by week. Tick the ones you like in the waitlist form; it helps us decide what to make first.
Because it costs us less to make. Vegetables cost less than quality meat and fish, so we take $2 off every Garden Plate lunch and dinner. We'd rather price fairly than charge everyone the same.
Anyone can suggest a name in the waitlist form, but only founding members (people who've paid the $2 deposit) can win the prize. When we choose our name, we'll pick the suggestion we like best. It's our judgement, not a random draw. If more than one founding member suggested the winning name, the first to submit it wins.
To win, you need to still be a founding member when we pick the name, so if you've had your deposit refunded, you're not eligible. The winner gets one free week of their chosen plan when we launch, and we'll let them know by email. If the name we choose was only suggested by people who aren't founding members, or nobody suggested it, there's no winner. By suggesting a name, you agree we can use it for the business. One prize only; it can't be swapped for cash.
No. The waitlist is free. The $2 founding-member deposit is optional.
